At first, I couldn't decide between the two shades they had because they looked almost alike on me (Even the sales assistant was baffled!) but Ochre seemed to match my skin tone better after it had spent an hour on my face. In fact, if I could only have one item in my everyday vanity kit, I'd choose Fairydrops' Candy Bar BB Cream. I guess my boyfriend liked how it looked on me though because he decided to get it for me in Beauty Bar-Eastwood! It evened out my skin tone and had better coverage than my Missha BB Cream without feeling heavy at all! Best of all, I had an exact match! I walked around with it on for a couple of hours and it didn't budge at all too! I was hesitant to buy it though because I didn't really need it and I realized that it's more expensive by about thirty percent here than it is in Japan (I'm guessing customs and VAT has something to do with that. A quick Google search yielded numerous favorable reviews. I asked about it because its packaging was so pretty. This made me willing to try Fairydrops' Candy Bar BB Cream despite it being SPF-free.

It's what I consider to be a heavy-duty face base. The Etude House Precious Mineral Sun BB Cream is sweat and oil resistant, has SPF50, and medium/heavy, matte coverage. Very ideal in our weather although you would need a separate moisturizer if you're dry.īest for: travel junkies, busy bees who don't have time for brushes and too much blending, combination skin. As for the texture, it's ultra light, almost watery. The SPF50 also doesn't hurt if you're lazy. It's sheer like Skintangible but Snow BB has a buildable coverage (which the latter doesn't). It comes in a compact with a sponge that actually applies the product well. I love the Laneige Snow BB Soothing Cushion SPF50 mostly for the convenience it offers. One shade only, best for medium to medium dark tones. Now three of the BB creams featured here are too light on me, but that's because I didn't get the chance to choose the right shade.
Well, the shade selection is still limited but if you fall in the fair to medium range then you shouldn't have any trouble. No longer are they thick and unwieldy, they're now more comfortable in humid weather, with a more perfecting finish. I've said it before and I'll say it again: BB creams have come a long way.
